Hrytsenko Initiates Dismissal Of Kuzmuk From Armed Forces
Defense Minister Anatolii Hrytsenko is initiating dismissal of the Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Kuzmuk from the Armed Forces. Ukrainian News learned this from the press service of the Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense bloc press service. “I shall propose that the President Yuschenko fire Kuzmuk from the Armed Forces,” the press service quotes Hrytsenko as saying. In his opinion, being a general at the military forces Kuzmuk should not stand for depriving the President of his commander-in-chief powers, as such his actions cast doubt onto implementation of the head of state decisions. “I think it would be fair to submit a statement on leaving the Armed Forces and then act as a politician,” …
Security Council suspends 2 Ministers
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has decided to suspend Transportation Minister Mykola Rudkovsky and Emergency Situations Minister Nestor Shufrych, President Victor Yushchenko told reporters on Tuesday, according to the President`s press-office. Yushchenko said both ministers were “personally responsible for serious failures.” “Rudkovsky has failed to take measures to boost railroad security. Shufrych has failed to responsibly react to numerous natural disasters which have occurred recently in many regions of Ukraine,” he said.
CEC Registers Renovated Communist Party For Parliament Election
The Central Electoral Commission has registered communist party (renovated) for early elections to the Verkhovna Rada. The resolution to this effect was adopted by all the 15 members of the commission present at the meeting. Thus, the CEC has registered 30 parliamentary candidates of the 49 submitted this time. The commission called eight candidates excluded from the list, and denied registration to 11 candidates for improperly drawn documents. Prior to this, the CEC registered Iryna Kozlova as a representative of the CPU to the CEC. As Ukrainian News reported, the Communist Party of Ukraine (renovated) was set up in July 2000.

EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
