Government to provide people with telecommunications
Cabinet of Ukraine adopted a resolution №1098 from September 5, 2007 that confirmed arrangement on development of telephone communications. The corresponding resolution signed by the PM Viktor Yanukovych is published on Government portal. The Government charged Transport and Communications Ministry as well as Finance Ministry to provide funds in amount of UAH 240 million in state budget-2008-2009 for further development of telecommunication services in particular in villages that foresees usage of modern radio technologies including native one. The first joint memorial to Soviet soldiers and warriors of OUN- URA in Ukraine was sanctified in Krykhovytzy village of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast on occasion of the 566th anniversary of the village. According to the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, village chairman Vassyl Vladin noted that the place for the memorial was prepared as early as in 1992. “We, evidently, are the first who united the perished people and call upon everybody not to sow discord among the Ukrainian nation”, noted the village chairman, stressing: “It is our history and it is not necessary to speculate in it”. Yuschenko Wants AvtoKrAZ To Start Production Of Fire-Fighting Equipment
President Viktor Yuschenko has addressed the leadership of AvtoKrAZ Holding Company (Kremenchuk, Poltava region) with the initiative of starting mass production of fire-fighting equipment for the needs of the Emergency Situation Ministry. Ukrainian News learned this from AvtoKrAZ spokesperson Natalia Orel, with references to the phone talk between President Viktor Yuschenko and director general of the company Serhii Sazonov. Particularly, Sazonov confirmed the enterprise’s readiness to produce such equipment based on KrAZ chassis. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
