Dynamo keen on loan deal for Shevchenko
Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev are seeking to sign their former striker Andriy Shevchenko on loan from Chelsea. The potential transfer coup was revealed by Dynamo president Igor Surkis in remarks reported on the club’s website. Surkis claims he is not surprised that Shevchenko has failed to enjoy the success in London that he did with Dynamo and AC Milan. He said: “I said in every interview that there was a possibility that Shevchenko wouldn’t play well for Chelsea. I can say even more. “I’ve asked Shevchenko to ask his board to let him go to Dynamo (Kiev, Ukraine) on loan. “If we qualify for the (Champions League) group stage we’ll have only 24 hours to do all the paperwork.” …
The strongest nation in the world confirms its title for the 4th time
The strongest on the planet. Ukrainian team of strongmen have received ‘the strongest nation in the world 2007’ again – for the fourth time at the 7th team world championship. As UNIAN reports, the final of the championship was held yesterday, August 6, at the ski resort Bukoval. Four teams went out to the final – USA, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine. Strongmen competed in three all-round events. Ukraine won to the points gained. The second place was taken by USA, Russia was the third, while Lithuania took the fourth place. At first teams of Poland, Germany, Finland, United Kingdom were striving for the title of the strongest nation. Each team comprised four athletes. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
