The strongest nation in the world confirms its title for the 4th time
The strongest on the planet. Ukrainian team of strongmen have received ‘the strongest nation in the world 2007’ again – for the fourth time at the 7th team world championship. As UNIAN reports, the final of the championship was held yesterday, August 6, at the ski resort Bukoval. Four teams went out to the final – USA, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine. Strongmen competed in three all-round events. Ukraine won to the points gained. The second place was taken by USA, Russia was the third, while Lithuania took the fourth place. At first teams of Poland, Germany, Finland, United Kingdom were striving for the title of the strongest nation. Each team comprised four athletes. Ethnic festivals as a form of rest and relaxation and spreading national ukrainian culture are becoming more and more popular in Ukraine. The festival Pechenizke Pole was held last Saturday in the Kharkiv oblast. Traditionally, since 2002 this event has gathered masters of folk art and folklore bands from the region known as Slobozhanshchyna. This year the site of the event was the regional landscape park Pechenizke Pole near Lake Pechenizke on the southern stretch of the left-bank forest steppe. The Siverskiy Donetsk River was mentioned by the ancient Greek historian Herodotus as a border between the Scythian tribes, who lived in Europe, and the Sarmatians, who lived in Asia. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
