Ukrainians not to see Armenian fat any more
According to the instruction of the Chief State Inspector of the Ukrainian Veterinary Medicine, import of pigs, their meat and products made of it from Armenia to Ukraine is banned started August 30 in view of affection of the home pigs with African swine fever in the territory of this country. As RUpor reports, a number of measures have been implemented in Ukraine at present to avoid entry and spread of the African swine fever.
Ukraine seeks distance from EU neighborhood policy
Ukraine has reiterated its long-standing objections to being part of the EU`s European Neighborhood Policy, according to RFE/RL. Ukraine`s Ambassador to the EU Roman Shpek told a high-level conference on the ENP in Brussels on Sept 3 that the bloc`s flagship foreign-policy instrument remains “inadequate” for his country. “The official position of Ukraine on the ENP was made public in February 2005 in a speech by President Viktor Yushchenko in the European Parliament,” Shpek said. “In the speech, the Ukrainian president pointed out that the ENP cannot be accepted as an adequate basis for EU-Ukraine relations. We can only work on the premise that Ukraine remains an integral part of [a] united Europe.”…
Yuschenko Sends Condolences To Family Of Deceased Italian Opera Singer Pavarotti
President Viktor Yuschenko has sent condolences to the family of Italian opera singer Luciano Pavarotti, who died on Thursday. The presidential press service announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained. “Luciano Pavarotti, of blessed memory, an exclusively talented artist and excellent human being, will forever remain in the hearts of Ukrainians,” Yuschenko’s message of condolence states. Yuschenko stressed that the death of Pavarotti was an irreparable loss to all his relatives and friends, the Italian people, and world culture. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
