Ukraine to strengthen cooperation with Russia

Ukraine will strengthen cooperation with Russia on space science research projects, Mikola Mitrahof, head of Ukraine`s National Space Agency information center, said Thursday, according to Xinhua. The two countries reached agreements on boosting space science cooperation on the sidelines of Ukraine`s and Russia`s economic cooperation committee meeting Wednesday and Thursday in the Crimean Republic, south of Ukraine, Mitrahof said. During the meeting, the two countries discussed the feasibility of using Ukrainian technology in a Russian research project to explore the Moon and Mars. Naftohaz Ukrainy mulls Russia's participation in gas transit via Ukraine

Naftohaz Ukrainy is discussing with the Russian side the variants of its participation in the transit of natural gas via the territory of Ukraine. «We do not pass decisions, but we hold debates, as we believe that we must work out all variants most economically profitable for this country in the close perspective and on a long-term basis,» Naftohaz Ukrainy COB Yevhen Bakulin told a press conference Tuesday. A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7. The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
