Ukrainian Peacekeepers Hold Firing From BRDM-2 And Hummer In Kosovo
On August 17, Ukrainian peacekeepers of the joint Ukrainian-Polish peacekeeping battalion UkrPolbat of the multinational brigade Vostok held firing from BRDM-2 machines and armoured Hummers at Falkon-4 firing ground, which is located near a settlement in the American responsibility zone in Kosovo. Defense Ministry press service department disclosed this to Ukrainian News. Over 30 representatives of special divisions took part in the firing. Bavaria interested in developing bilateral cooperation with Ukraine
Bavaria, the Federal Republic of Germany’s largest state, is interested in developing bilateral cooperation with Ukraine, Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber has said. “We are interested in the economic development of Ukraine today and in taking more active part in economic cooperation,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday. Stoiber noted that Bavaria is interested in closer cooperation with Ukraine in high technology, the energy sector and biotechnology. Ukrainian children had to dance in front of French Embassy to receive visas
The participants of ensemble “Children of Ukraine” had to dance for 3 hours in front of the French Embassy to get visas to France in order to participate in the international festival. According to the Mission of Ukraine to European Communities, before they have been refused visas without explanations. Only after the 3-hours improvised concert organized as a protest, the visas have been issued, again without explanations. Today it is more fun to stand in a queue for a visa to France. Boys and girls in Ukrainian national costumes danced “arkan” and “kalinka” in the open air in front of the Embassy. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
