The first joint memorial to Soviet soldiers and warriors of OUN- URA in Ukraine was sanctified in Krykhovytzy village of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast on occasion of the 566th anniversary of the village. According to the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, village chairman Vassyl Vladin noted that the place for the memorial was prepared as early as in 1992. “We, evidently, are the first who united the perished people and call upon everybody not to sow discord among the Ukrainian nation”, noted the village chairman, stressing: “It is our history and it is not necessary to speculate in it”. Yuschenko Wants AvtoKrAZ To Start Production Of Fire-Fighting Equipment
President Viktor Yuschenko has addressed the leadership of AvtoKrAZ Holding Company (Kremenchuk, Poltava region) with the initiative of starting mass production of fire-fighting equipment for the needs of the Emergency Situation Ministry. Ukrainian News learned this from AvtoKrAZ spokesperson Natalia Orel, with references to the phone talk between President Viktor Yuschenko and director general of the company Serhii Sazonov. Particularly, Sazonov confirmed the enterprise’s readiness to produce such equipment based on KrAZ chassis. Dynamo keen on loan deal for Shevchenko
Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev are seeking to sign their former striker Andriy Shevchenko on loan from Chelsea. The potential transfer coup was revealed by Dynamo president Igor Surkis in remarks reported on the club’s website. Surkis claims he is not surprised that Shevchenko has failed to enjoy the success in London that he did with Dynamo and AC Milan. He said: “I said in every interview that there was a possibility that Shevchenko wouldn’t play well for Chelsea. EU asks Ukraine to lift visas for Romanians, Bulgarians
The European Commission for Foreign Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, asked Ukraine to give up visa requirements for Romanians and Bulgarians, in order to help the adoption of the special visa regime between the European Union and Kiev, according to Mediafax, quoting the Ukrainian News Agency online.

Ukrainian Killed In Road Accident In Turkey
A Ukrainian citizen was killed in an automobile accident on the Antalia-Belek road in Turkey in September 7.
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced this in a statement, a text of which Ukrainian News obtained.
According to the statement, the Ukrainian citizen worked as a guide for a tourist agency.
His body is scheduled to be sent to Ukraine in a coffin on September 10.
