Epic Borsch Cooking Class

Ukrainian Cultural Club of Dallas with the support of the City of Grand Prairie – Sister City of Kalush, Ukraine invites you to the interactive Borsch Cooking class as a part of the Ukrainian Cultural Celebration – Vyshyvanka Day 2024.

Ukrainian borsch is a traditional and popular national dish inscribed on the Unesco List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. An expression of hospitality, Ukrainian borsch unites people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds at the table. Borsch is cooked with broth combined with beetroot, cabbage, and a variety of vegetables. There are numerous recipes for making borsch. Use this wonderful opportunity to learn, practice cooking, and taste this super-food meal.

The class is a part of the Vyshyvanka Day Ukrainian Cultural Celebration that also includes the Pysanky class at 1 PM and an evening program starting at 5 PM with a Craft Bazaar, music by Veselka Ukrainian Singers of Dallas, and a concert featuring festive performances by Zorya Ukrainian Dancers of Dallas, and a Ukrainian traditional wear fashion show.

All proceeds will be used to send Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine.

The number of tickets is limited. General admission is $25 per person.
