Hetman Picnic for Andrew Chobany
As the fall starts rolling in, we will get closer and closer to the birthday of our beloved Hetman – Andrew Chobany, who this year will celebrate his platinum jubilee (70 years). To celebrate this big day, we couldn’t think of a better opportunity than to transform our annual Cossack Picnic into the first-ever Hetman picnic.
The picnic will take place on October 17th in the Rotary pavilion in Parr Park, Grapevine. All Ukrainian community is welcome to join the event, as we express our gratitude for Andrew’s dedication and tireless efforts to promote Ukrainian culture and dancing since before Ukraine restored independence. Your presence will make this picnic a memorable day, and a truly special birthday for Andrew.
As usual, the picnic will be in potluck format. UCCD will facilitate burgers and hot dog grilling, so we can all enjoy some delicious food together. If you’re willing to help with organizational aspects – please contact us in the UCCD Facebook group, or send a message to info@ukrainianclub.org.
