Ukrainian Independence Day at St. Sophia Ukrainian Church

Celebrate our Ukrainian heritage after Liturgy on Sunday, August 25th. This is a fundraising event with proceeds supporting Ukraine.

This is a ticketed event with seating limited to 100 people. Please sign up to participate. Food will be delivered to tables. Festive program. No charge for children under 3 years.

Adults $12- European style kielbasa, three varenyky, green beans, sauerkraut, European style bread, dessert, water & coffee.

Kids (4-11 yrs) $5- Hot dog in a bun, two varenyky, carrots, dessert, & water.

Condiments: Pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard.

$1 sodas, $2 beers, $3 wines

Program:

• 11:30 – Ongoing ticket sales if seats are available, raffle sales, soda sales, and adult beverage donations. Vendor tables will be in the nursery hallway. 
• 11:45 am – Father to give blessing & community sings Ukrainian National Anthem. 
• 12 pm – plated meals delivered to paid attendees.   
• 12-12:30 pm – music set provided by the Veselka band. 
• 12:30-12:40 pm Ukrainian nonprofits: UAST and UCCD. 
• 12:40 pm poetry recitations. Desserts will be distributed during this time.
• 1 pm – raffle drawing and a few closing words of gratitude from organizers. 
• 1:10 pm – 2 pm Ukrainian short film. TBD.
